From the moment I first talked to Mary and Joel and they told me they were planning a Lego themed wedding at the beautiful Antrim 1844 I knew I was going to love them. A lot. I mean come on, what 80’s kid doesn’t have fond memories of building Lego houses? Add on to looking forward to a Lego themed wedding the fact that when I met Joel and Mary for their Annapolis engagement session they were the cutest, most adorable couple ever. Mary showed up with a Lego heart necklace and they cuddled and giggled in front of my camera with practically no prompting from me at all.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago and the day was here that I got to hang out with Mary and Joel as they vowed to be each other’s forever. It was a super hot day at Antrim but Mary and Joel couldn’t have been happier. Joel looked super handsome in his tux and brought tears to my eyes over his reaction during their first look. Mary was absolutely gorgeous in her off-the-shoulder gown and my camera seriously loves her. Even if I had to yell “glasses” to her over and over when her glasses kept falling down her nose all day 😉
The Lego theme came to life in their reception space with Lego sculptures at each table, made by Mary and Joel themselves to represent different parts of their relationship history, things they like to do together, etc. And people….their cake was the coolest thing!! It was decorated to look like a cake made of Legos and the little Lego people were rolling out sheets of icing to cover the Legos up.
Mary and Joel, congratulations and thank you so much for being some of my favorite people 🙂Joel pushing Mary’s glasses up is too cuteThe professionals that made this day possible:
