I think that after soldiering through an absolutely freezing morning for their engagement session last year…..I mean bitter cold……it was only fair that April and Chris were blessed with the PRETTIEST day for their wedding. The sun was shining bright, not a cloud in the sky, April was surprising Chris with a vintage Rolls Royce to take him from the hotel to Musket Ridge Golf Club, and everything was perfect for these two.
I loved the sentimental touches from when April was getting ready at Musket Ridge. April’s wedding band was custom made by melting down her Grandmother’s wedding band and using stones from her Grandmother’s engagement ring. April’s Mother pinned mementos into April’s dress, including April’s hospital band from when she was born to serve as her something old. I also loved that this sweet and simple bride and groom decided to keep it just that, sweet and simple, when it came to their bridal party. One matron of honor and one best man. Oh and we can’t forget about the flower girl and two awesome ring security guards (this was adorable….they actually had lock boxes, sunglasses, and a headset to wear!). This small bridal party kept things so easy and stress free for their day….I loved the intimacy of it. The flowers for the wedding were done by Flowers by Judy, which April used to work for, so that was a very personal touch, also.
Photos were very important to April and Chris so we made sure to make the most of all the time we had on that perfect. The super fast 5 minutes we had with the gorgeous Rolls Royce after the ceremony, riding around in golf carts around the course to take advantage of the rolling hills and scenery Musket Ridge has to offer, the bridal party roaring like dinosaurs for a beyond cute bridal party shot, and sneaking the couple away for a couple minutes at sunset…..this wedding seriously was like hanging out with friends that just so happened to be celebrating one of the best days of their lives. I can’t ask for more than brides and grooms that trust me to do my thing and just have fun along the way.
April and Chris, you two were so much fun to hang out with and thank you for choosing me to be the one to celebrate with you!!
