You all remember a couple weekends ago when we had that CRAZY wind?? Well this session was the beginning of it. I had been looking at the forecast and knew that the weather was going to turn but I really did think we scheduled Kathy and Josh’s downtown Annapolis engagement session early enough in order to get done before the what felt like a tornado came. Nope. Big fat nope.
I met Kathy and Josh down at City Dock and it was packed full of people It was a beautifully warm November day and everybody was out enjoying what would probably be the last warm day of the year. Everything was going great but we could see this ominous black cloud making it’s way down the river. No problem, I thought. I was done down at the docks anyway and ready for us to make our way up to State Circle. We were halfway done…..we’d be done by the time it got nasty out. Ha. Just as we were about to State Circle it was like a switch was turned on and the weather changed just like that. The wind came and I wouldn’t have been surprised if I saw Dorothy’s house and the wicked witch fly by. The temperature dropped a crazy amount and it felt like we would blow away. But Kathy and Josh were total troopers and stuck it out with me. We finished our walk to State Circle and used the State House to block the wind to take more portraits, while occasionally stepping back out into the gale to grab a few more.
I’m so thankful for sweet couples like Kathy and Josh that don’t mind a “little” wind in their hair. 🙂 I had a great time walking around Annapolis with them and I just know that their Belmont Manor wedding next year is going to be amazing!Hahaha I’m sorry Kathy, don’t hate me for this one but it cracks me up. Leaves were flying everywhere at crazy speeds and one just so happened to smack Kathy right in the face as I pushed the shutter 😉
