My heart hurts for Ellicott City. I’ve grown to love that little town. My husband and I had started going there in the beginning of the summer of 2016 to walk around, have lunch, and sit on the rocks in the river. It was a nice little thing to do on the weekend. Then the flooding of 2016 happened. The city was #ecstrong and rebuilt. Now just recently, we took my mother-in-law to visit historic Ellicott City, knowing she would love the quaint town, too. She’s making a cross-country move from California to live here in Maryland and we wanted to show her some of our favorite spots. You know, kind of sell her on the great things about Maryland. Thirteen days later, the nightmare happened again and that little town is going through something no one should have to go through even once, let alone twice. My thoughts and prayers go out to the homeowners and business owners. Know that a lot of us out here love Ellicott City and, for those that rebuild, we’ll be there supporting you and anxiously awaiting to come enjoy a town like no other around.
I thought it a fitting time to post Kellsye and Adam’s sweet engagement session we did there at the end of last year. It’s been in my queue and I figured it’s time to celebrate everyone’s love for the town. Not only did I love visiting with my husband, it was always a great go-to for engagement sessions. It has cute buildings, beautiful architecture, and amazing nature backdrops all within a short walking distance. I had so much fun with Kellsye and Adam….they’re so sweet and really stinkin’ cute together. And can we talk about Kellsye’s adorable skirt?! When they were walking down the street to meet me for the session and I saw her skirt my photographer heart went pitter patter.
These two lovebirds are getting married in July at Ceresville Mansion….the same place I got married! I cannot wait to celebrate there with them!
