Hotel Monaco Baltimore Wedding : Megan + Jason

I kicked off my 2019 wedding season a few weeks ago with Megan and Jason’s gorgeous Hotel Monaco Baltimore wedding. I don’t think I could have asked for a better couple to jump into the season with. Megan and Jason are hilarious, totally into each other, and aren’t afraid to be themselves in front of me.
It had been calling for rain for a few days leading up to the wedding but we lucked out with a rain free day, although, with a venue like Hotel Monaco that has massive, gorgeous marble staircases, it really would be okay to be stuck inside for photos all day. We did, however, venture outside for a little bit in the humidity to grab a few out front and then across the street at a building with some amazing columns that you’ll see in just a bit.
One of my favorite moments from the day that reminded me of just how goofy these two are together was at their first look. Jason turned and was elated at how stunning Megan looked, they hugged, they kissed, they smiled….then Jason gave Megan a little spin to check out the whole package. But hey, Megan needed to see, too, so she promptly gave Jason a spin to check out all of her groom. I know it may not seem like a whole lot, but it’s those simple, quick, spontaneous moments on wedding days when my couples really show me what their love is like that makes this job so fulfilling. I love being a witness to so many gestures of fun, authentic love.
