There are some weddings that I can’t wait for them to get here. But then they come, they’re perfect, and then I’m so sad they’re over. Julie and Keith’s Annapolis Maritime Museum wedding is one that I have been looking forward to for a really long time. Ever since their engagement session, I couldn’t wait to get them back in front of my camera. I knew that Julie was going to be stunning and that Keith was going to look oh so handsome. They have a chemistry that can’t be denied and I knew that they would put together one amazing wedding.
Julie and Keith met when they were in 6th grade but, like many couples I’ve come across, didn’t start dating until much later in life. For Julie and Keith, they were best friends all through high school and college and it definitely shows when you see how much fun they have together and how they truly are each other’s best friend. While their wedding day was full of great moments, my absolute favorite was when Julie was walking down the aisle. As soon as the doors opened and Julie appeared, Keith’s face turned into one huge smile. But just as quick as that smile came, it turned into biting his lip to try and hold back tears. The sound of waves lapping up against the side of the museum underneath the dock below us were heard as his beautiful best friend was walking towards him. Then turning to see Julie and seeing the tears in her eyes as she walked towards Keith, the breeze from the water blowing her veil around. It was pure perfection.
Julie and Keith love being on the water so getting married in Annapolis, one of their favorite towns, was a no-brainer. The Maritime Museum provided the perfect place, allowing them to get married with the water below their feet and sailboats passing by, the bay bridge magnificently standing off in the distance. Throughout the day they kept saying how lucky they were for having this beautiful day and place to say I do. They high-fived saying “we did good”……..Julie and Keith, you guys did more than good. You killed it…..home run. Can you get married every year so I can come back?? 😉I seriously just had to share the photo on the right because it cracks me up.
