“He is my best friend.”
“Every time I see her she makes me smile.”
It always warms my heart to hear about what it is that a bride and groom love about each other, and those two quotes are just a snippet of what Kat and John had to say about their other halves. These two best friends were married at one of my favorite venues, the Elkridge Furnace Inn, a couple weekends ago and, it’s true, every time John sees Kat he smiles. He had the biggest smile when he turned around and saw his drop-dead gorgeous bride for the first time at their first look. He then proceeded to let her know she had lipstick on her teeth and he helped her to get it off. That’s true love people. I’m serious. It’s those stupid, random, little things during interactions that show that two people are connected, 100% comfortable with each other, and are each other’s best friend. And that they love you enough that they don’t want you walking around with lipstick on your teeth. 😉 It might not have been what the two of them imagined for the first minute after their first look but it was adorable, it was funny, and it was them. We all were laughing and it was a great way to calm the nerves and ease in to an awesome time of picture taking!
I loved all the personal touches that Kat and John put in to the wedding. John is a football coach and huge Ravens fan so John and his groomsmen had some fun taking pictures with jerseys on before getting ready. He even tossed a football with the writing “You’re next” instead of a garter at the reception. They gave out Fisher’s popcorn to all of their guests because that’s their last name….so cute. Kat put a lot of work into her DIY decor and it turned out beautifully. She even made a sign for at the bar warning her guests that their reception would be heavily photographed and that all drunken craziness would be documented 🙂
It truly was a blast hanging out with these two as they because husband and wife. I am so thankful they chose me out of everyone to be the lucky one to witness it and I can only imagine the amazing times that are ahead for these two best friends. Congratulations Kat and John!!
Jenn shot through this dude’s mohawk during the ceremony. And this is why I love her. So this is twice now that at one of my weddings the groom has fed himself cake instead of feeding it to his bride. This is a split second before John realized and proceeded to take the cake back out of his mouth. Way to keep it classy John 😉 The hard working professionals that made this day possible:
