I’ve talked on here before about how there are those couples that come along that you just click with. They get you, you get them, and it feels like you’re taking pictures for a friend. Heather and Blake are SO MUCH that couple. They were unapologetically themselves through every step of our time together. Never once do I think any of us felt like we had to hold back tears, laughter, joy, or curse words. I wasn’t afraid to tell them they were crazy when they sent me a list of like 50 family photos and they trusted me enough to believe that they were probably crazy. If I could choose the kinds of personalities to work with for the rest of my career, I would choose Heather and Blake. And if I got to experience days like that one at their Historic London Town and Gardens weddings, that wouldn’t be so bad, either.
There was the sweetest first look in front of the place in Annapolis Heather and Blake used to live that brought Blake to tears, we rode the trolley and took photos in downtown Annapolis, we stopped and got Sandy Pony Donuts, there was a perfect tear-filled (like seriously, so many tears) and laughter-filled (a whole lot of that, too) ceremony, there were sunset portraits on the dock along the South River, and there was one hell of a party with Chris Diller playing. You guys…I love my job.
Enjoy all the pretty!! I can’t with this first look…..I mean, if this isn’t the best….The face a groom makes when he accidentally bites his bride’s finger instead of the cake….
