Baltimore weddings are some of my favorites. Where else can you get waterfront views in one direction and then turn 180 and have incredible architecture and cobblestone streets? It doesn’t get much better than that and James and Marcy’s Admiral Fell Inn wedding was one I wouldn’t mind doing over and over again.
I had a blast with them back at the beginning of the year for their Federal Hill engagement session where I immediately fell in love with their personalities, so I absolutely could not wait to hang out with them again for their wedding. I wish I was a better writer so I could adequately convey just the joy and fun that is their relationship but, I kind of suck, so you just have to take my word for it. They’re serious when they need to be but any other time these two are goofing off and laughing and enjoying the other person. I truly do love being around them…….I just makes you feel good……makes you smile…….makes you want to be a part of their laughter. So spending 8 hours with them on their wedding day, one of the happiest days of a person’s life, it wasn’t a job…..it was a gift.
The day was gorgeous and the emotions were even better than that. I won’t call James out too much but this guy might have been the most emotional groom I’ve photographed yet. Ok, sorry, I totally just called him out haha! It was soul touching watching him through my camera when Marcy stepped out into his sight to walk down the aisle towards him. He sounded like he was going through a birthing class with his breathing and the biggest smiles would come through the tears. If any man loves a woman, James loves Marcy. And it’s not just him, the reverse is true, too. Marcy looks at him like there is nothing better in the whole world and I am so incredibly grateful to have had the honor of capturing all of that emotion for them. Smiles, tears, and SO MUCH laughter.
Marcy and James, congratulations on your wedding day and the beginning of a life together with so much more goofiness in store! These are the earrings that Marcy wore the first night she met James. I love that sentimental touch to her bridal details.Thank you Marisa for capturing this one. I looked away for one second and this happened.Let the lamaze class begin 😉James and Marcy both work at Under Armour. That’s actually how they met was through work but, at the time, James was at a store on the west coast. They met at an annual meeting and did the long distance thing until James got an offer to come work at the headquarters in Baltimore. So….Under Armour in the background of their ceremony….yes please 🙂No photo session with James and Marcy is complete without some jumping. The hardworking professionals that made this day possible:

This looks like such a fun crowd! The bridal party shots are awesome, and I love the portraits you did with all the pretty sun flare. And I’m going to echo Brea and say you really did nail the sparkler exit!
So classy and elegant!
We were privileged to be at this wedding of my nephew James and Marcy. Love these photos.
I love all of the gold elements. Those are one of the most unique (and beautiful) pair earrings I have ever seen!
Thank you! I got them at Zelda Zen (located in Fells Point on Thames St.).
Absolutely love the photos on the bridge and the image of the wedding party spread out on the steps. Perfectly balanced!!
