If rain on your wedding day is supposed to give you good luck in your marriage, then I think having to find a new reception venue 4 days prior to your wedding, because of Baltimore riots, should give you the ultimate in good luck. I was heartbroken for MaryCarol and Chris when I received the word that their venue was cancelling all of their weddings for that weekend….I could only imagine what they were going through. But they were determined to make their wedding happen on schedule and, miraculously, found a new venue with the Sparrows Point Country Club!!
***Side story – At MaryCarol and Chris’s engagement session, Chris was wearing a Sparrows Point Country Club belt. I noticed it and commented on it, saying I didn’t even know that Sparrows Point had a country club. Yep……a little freaky, right?! I think it was meant to be. Ok end side story…..back to the original story***
You never would have known the stress that MaryCarol had been going through because this girl was the epitome of bridal perfection! She was GORGEOUS!! The poofiest princess dress paired with the longest veil ever and some knockout Kate Spade heels…..O.M.G. And let’s not forget the fact that she had the biggest smile on her face all day long. When everything works out to where, at the end of the day, the princess still gets to marry her prince charming, that’s all that matters.
You could feel all the love and support surrounding MaryCarol and Chris that day from their family and friends. It truly was just one of those weddings. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Federal Hill and then we made our way to Sparrows Point Country Club where we were met with beautiful views and gorgeous sunlight. I could have played with them in that sun (because that dress and veil in a setting sun….it’s like photographer heaven) until the last bit of sun was gone, but I did have to eventually return them to their party. And a party it was! The Bachelor Boys Band is always great and they had the crowd dancing the night away. It was such an honor to be a part of it all and I am so grateful for every opportunity to be witness to such great love almost every weekend. Thank you MaryCarol and Chris!! The guys had a Caps game on while they were getting ready. I have no idea what happened in the game during these photos but the sequence cracks me up.The Wedding Professionals that contributed to this day:
