I am so in love with this engagement session. If I can laugh at every session as much as I did during Lucas and Courtney’s Patapsco Valley State Park engagement session……well I don’t know what else I could ask for. They had me cracking up the whole time. And I’m going to pick on Courtney for a second. Well let me just say she’s gorgeous and the sweetest thing. But don’t ask her to give you a close-lipped smile. The horrible faces that ensue are ridiculous. Somehow this girl either frowns or contorts her face in not so pretty ways when you ask her to close-lip smile. I’ve never seen anything like it haha! It definitely made for some laughs. I did eventually discover, though, that if you ask her for a serious face it results in a close-lipped smile. And that, ladies and gents, is why we do engagement sessions. I get to learn what works for you! Another great thing about Courtney and Lucas, other than them being so much fun, is that they were up for anything. Seriously anything. They trudged through not-so-great smelling mud on the river bank to get out to a big rock I wanted them to stand on. They balanced their way across a fallen tree in front of the waterfall. Ok…..more like only halfway, but still. They climbed out on the rocks to stand next to the waterfall. Seriously, nothing was out of the question and not a single request was met with any hesitation at all. I am so so so thankful for adventurous couples that trust me and Patapsco Valley State Park was the perfect setting for a couple up for anything. It made for one of my most favorite engagement sessions of all time and I’m beyond excited for their fall wedding!
They’re so cute! I just love their smiles. You picked some really awesome spots – love this!
Adventurous couples are the best! I love her dress and their laughter. Great stuff!
Lauren, you seriously take some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. You are amazing!
