I love hanging out with Roger and Faye.  The first time we met and I was describing my style and approach to a wedding day, my laid back and stress-free (as much as possible!) ways really clicked with them.  I could tell that, while they obviously want a beautiful wedding, they also just want to have fun and enjoy their day.  When I met up with them for their engagement shoot a couple weekends ago at City Center in DC where they live, the original plan was to leave from there and go down to the tidal basin and Jefferson Memorial to do their photos.  They had wanted to do some other places around DC but, after I explained to them about how we would have to get some permits and maybe pay some fees, they had no problem changing plans to some spots there that wouldn’t be as much of a hassle.  Then I showed up at City Center and, again with their laid back style, they told me we could just stay around City Center for the photos if I thought it was “picture worthy”.  Roger showed me around this maze of a place……rooftop decks, urban gardens, overlooks of the plaza, fountains……it was amazing!!  Why deal with the crowds of DC (on an evening when the Caps were playing no less) when we had such a perfect place at our fingertips right where they live?!  I was sold and they trusted me, which is so crucial for my bride and grooms to do.  They also introduced me to Janelle, Faye’s daughter and Roger’s soon-to-be step-daughter, so that we could do a couple family photos in the process.  If they are up for whatever on their wedding day like they were for the engagement shoot, it’s going to be killer.  Their wedding is next month at the Four Season Baltimore and I absolutely can’t wait to get them in front of my camera with the Inner Harbor as our playground.  I’ll see you guys next month!!  And Janelle, too!  🙂More family photos.  This little guy is going to be in the wedding and I’m so excited about it  🙂
