Continuing with the cold weather wedding blog posts that I started yesterday is the coldest wedding from last year. By far. Brittany and Perry threw an amazing Tabrizi’s in Baltimore New Years Eve wedding, BUT you may remember that New Years Eve it was like -250 degrees outside. Equipped with leggings under dresses and a box full of hand warmers, we made the best of it and had so much fun ringing in the New Year celebrating Brittany and Perry.
When I asked Perry what makes Brittany “the one” he said she believes in him and pushes him to be a better person. When Brittany was asked the same thing about Perry, she said that he is patient and loves her without holding back. Brittany and Perry met at a bar in Federal Hill in 2015 and have been a true Baltimore couple ever since. Spending time going to Ravens and Orioles games, having their engagement photos taken in Harbor East, and rounding it out with a wedding that went from Hotel Monaco, to the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, and ending 2017 at Tabrizi’s. You can’t really beat a New Years Eve wedding around the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. It’s a place that people are already going to to celebrate so it’s full of life, and then you get a spectacular free fireworks show at midnight!
Thankfully Brittany and Perry chose to get ready at Hotel Monaco, so we were able to utilize the beautiful inside spaces for some bridesmaid and groomsmen photos before the ceremony. By the time they said their “I do’s”, the sun had already set so we ventured out to do some bride and groom night portraits. You really can’t have a reception at Tabrizi’s without getting some portraits with the Domino’s Sugar sign and the Baltimore skyline, even if it is -300 degrees outside. And yes, for those of you reading and paying attention….it did drop 50 degrees throughout the day 😉 We tried to go through the photos as fast as humanly possible and we stayed out as long as we could, until the point came that Brittany told me “I think we might need to be done…..I can’t feel my feet anymore”. Night time portraits already take longer than simply getting to utilize natural light. Add in the extra complication of frigid temps and it’s not the most ideal situation, but they were both such troopers and were so patient. And I definitely think it was worth it!
Brittany and Perry, I will always remember how I got to ring in 2018. It was an honor to spend that time with you and I will be smiling when I count down to 2019 thinking back on it……hopefully somewhere warmer 😉One of my absolute favorite moments of Brittany and Perry’s wedding…..and actually of the whole year…..was when Perry surprised Brittany with the most gorgeous wedding band. Brittany had fallen in love with a diamond wedding band but they didn’t buy it, with Brittany saying they couldn’t afford it. Perry decided to go buy it for her anyway, and she didn’t find out until she watched the best man, Perry’s brother, hand it to the Father when it was time for them to exchange rings. Her face was priceless. A little behind-the-scenes sneak peek….I’m fluffing Brittany’s dress and Brittany and Perry don’t look miserable being out in the cold, do they???If I had to choose one picture from the whole wedding to sum up the night, it would be this one 🙂The professionals that poured love into this wedding:
