Umm seriously…..give me all the Fall colors and light all. the. time.  Please.  It makes my heart so happy.  The portraits of Courtney and Lucas from their Hillendale Country Club fall wedding are some of my favorites of all time.  I can’t wait for you all to scroll down and see them!

I’ve been looking forward to Courtney and Lucas’s wedding for a while now because I knew it was going to be a fun, relaxed day.  And yes, I just said that I knew a wedding day was going to be relaxed.  That’s how great these two are.  They trampled through mud, climbed rocks, and balance-beamed across fallen trees during their engagement session so I had no doubt that wedding photos were going to be easy.  Granted, it was a tad bit chilly on their wedding day, but everybody suffered through it and, like I said, we ended up with some of my favorite portraits.
The day started out with fun things like Courtney trying to give her cute little grandmother a mini bottle of tequila, then we headed to Hillendale for the first look that included some great double guns from Courtney and a few portraits before taking off to the church for their beautiful ceremony.  Then it was back to Hillendale where we grabbed a quick bridal party pic and then my second shooter Marisa, the videographer Zach, Courtney, Lucas, and I hopped into golf carts and started driving down onto the golf course.  We were about to stop at one tree when I happened to spot this magnificently huge tree in the distance with orange leaves that was just glowing in the setting sun.  We made our way down there and it was pure magic.  Marisa, Zach, and I probably sounded like complete crazies with how excited we were over what we were capturing but it was THAT good.  I never wanted to leave.  But, alas, we had to.  It was back up to the club house for the start of the reception where we got to listen to amazing speeches that had everyone laughing.  Courtney’s dad picked on her because Lucas is pretty much the best at everything he does…..that in school he was a star athlete and valedictorian, while Courtney was voted class clown.

Courtney and Lucas are the perfect combination, though.  They are so much fun to be around and I have loved every second that I’ve had with them.  They effortlessly made me feel like one of their best friends.  It was obvious that they valued pictures and me being there and wanted me to have fun, too.  I really do think I might have smiled more at their wedding than any other wedding I’ve photographed.  You guys, thank you so much for just being so awesome.  And thank you for the beers, too  😉
Way to ruin it, Lucas.
Lucas is big into brewing so he brewed like 5 different beers to give away as the favors to their guests.  Like this stuff is legit! And how cute are all the labels?!The hardworking professionals that helped make this day possible:
