This will be short and sweet because it’s July 4th, which means I need to get myself ready to head on up to Hagerstown for my annual family reunion, but I really wanted to give Katherine and Dillon a little treat on America’s Birthday (Happy Birthday America!!…wooo!!!) and maybe how much they love their wedding photos can be a topic of conversation at whatever festivities they may be headed to today. 😉
I think Katherine and Dillon’s wedding was the very first wedding I booked for 2013. It was very soon after I started up this little business thing I’ve got going on, and I’m so happy they took a chance on the new girl. This wedding had everything I could ever want. It was held at Mayo Beach Park, a beautiful little park situated right where the South River empties into the Chesapeake Bay, which means it has fantastic views. Katherine and Dillon followed up the waterfront feel by incorporating navy blues and knotted lines into their decor. Everything was done to perfection. Not a single detail was overlooked. Katherine and Dillon are fun-loving and incredibly thoughtful people. They’re seriously a photographer’s dream couple. And I know by looking at the love and hard work that went into making every detail of their wedding just right, that they’ll put that same, and even more, amount of love and hard work into their marriage. They’ve just got that thing that I know they’re going to be unstoppable in life together.
Now be warned………..there is a massive amount of pictures to follow. MASSIVE. Like the most I’ve ever included. That’s how much I loved this wedding. Oh….and be ready for THE BEST groomsman dance ever in history. Dillon surprised Katherine with a choreographed dance to Chris Brown’s Forever during the reception and, people, it was epic. Enjoy!!
Prime example of the details that went into everything. See that picture on the right? That was the set-up Katherine made for her bridesmaids to get ready. Each bridesmaid had her own little station with a mirror that even had the navy blue and white striped ribbon on the back to hold the back of the mirror in place. Love her so much. 🙂
Whenever there’s a playground, boys have to get on it. Don’t ask me why.
Katherine and Dillon’s beer selection included beers from all the different places they’ve lived. How cool, right?!
Another bride that gave me a place to sit. Makes me happy 🙂
At each table was a mason jar to hold notes written by their guests….just little notes of advice, love, whatever floats your boat. So not only did I get a place to sit, but I got to sit with the cool kids. These were a sampling of the notes that came from the table.
Epic groomsmen dance time!!
Katherine stressed to me how important photos are to her and Dillon so that if I saw a good photo-op moment to not hesitate to pull them aside for a few minutes. Sunset over the Bay = gorgeous photo-op moment.
