My fellow photographers will know exactly what I mean when I say that there are some couples that you just naturally and completely click with and you know that they were meant to find you. Kate and Matt are one of those couples for me. It just felt right. From when we met to when I hugged them bye at the end of their wedding day at Overhills Mansion. Kate and Matt are such a sweet and quirky couple. From the “birding” during their bride and groom portraits (imagine a bird pecking at their food) to all the tears…..oh man there were a lot of tears…..it was all perfect. And they made me feel like they had 100% trust in my work and vision for their wedding day photos, which is such a great feeling for a photographer. Add all that to the beautiful Overhills Mansion they chose as their venue and it was an amazing wedding day. The jewelry Kate wore was very special to her. The pearls were a gift from Kate’s grandfather to her grandmother one Christmas, and the earrings were given to Kate by her Dad when she was born for her to wear as her something blue on her wedding day. Maid of honor to the rescue with a ton of toilet paper because Kate cries. A lot. Here’s that birding I was telling you about….First look with Dad…..oh my heart…..
