Wow I have been quiet on here for a long time!! I definitely took a break from a lot of work during this off-season from weddings. Some big life changes happened for me recently that took up a lot of my brain power……like buying a new house!! I can’t wait to show some things off about the new home here on the blog, but you’ll have to be patient and wait a little while for that 🙂
Anyway, speaking of big life changes, Zahra and Chris are about to undergo one of the biggest life changes possible…..welcoming their first baby, a sweet little boy, into the world! I’ve known Zahra and Chris for a while now and, if you’ve been a longtime Lauren C Photography fan, you might recognize them from their gorgeous wedding day I photographed in Santa Barbara a few years ago. The weather for their maternity shoot at Centennial Lake was just a little different than what we had in Santa Barbara, though! You guys, it was not a nice day. Like at all. Zahra and Chris were such troopers braving the crazy cold wind for this session. While it wasn’t preferable, when you’re working on a timeline of not knowing when the little boy might randomly decide to make an appearance, you can’t really push these sessions off for too long. The chilly day meant we mostly had the whole park to ourselves, though, so…..silver lining!
I absolutely cannot wait to see these two wonderful people parent. They’re going to be amazing. Zahra is a natural caretaker with a great attention to detail and planning, while Chris is about as laid back as they come with a lot of unique knowledge to pass down to a little boy…..like how to sail. I have no doubt their little boy will be stepping on to a boat as soon as possible. And hopefully my husband and I will get to join them out there 😉
Zahra and Chris, congratulations again and I can’t wait to hear that the little bear cub has arrived!!
