Today I’m taking a quick break from weddings and engagement sessions to share a little knowledge for the photographers out there that are or will be shopping around for USB drives to send to their clients. I figured that wedding season is coming to an end and photographers will probably be looking to re-stock a lot of their packaging supplies soon, and USB drives are at the heart of what we send out. I can add all the flair and pretty that I want, but the biggest thing that my bride is going to care about when opening her package is that little flash drive that contains her photo story. I know that some photographers send out only online galleries to their clients that they can then download from. To each their own!! I completely understand that. For me and my business, however, I felt it important to send my clients something tangible, some more personal. Something they can open a box up and see and have the excitement of looking through. I’m still old-school in some ways…..I don’t like online calendars….give me a paper calendar. Reading a book?? I like to feel the pages rather than swipe across a screen. So USB drives are a perfect way for me to be able to give my clients digital files in a tangible way. Granted, I still send a link to an online gallery of their photos as well that they can share with family and friends, but that comes after they get to have the excitement of opening up that box. When looking for USB drives I wanted to find one that was consistent with my brand. I didn’t want a metal or plastic one because that’s just not me and not my brand. I came across USB Memory Direct and their selection of beautiful wooden drives and I was sold. Each drive is laser engraved with the typography from my logo along with the coral branch that is a huge part of my brand. I only want the best for my clients and these drives look amazing. I have used them for a couple years now, for a couple orders now, and every time has been a great experience. The drives are not only great but so is the customer service. One representative works with you through the entire ordering process, from receiving a quote to designing your drives with your custom artwork all the way through ordering and checking up on everything once you receive your shipment. It’s important for me to not feel like a number to other companies so to receive personalized service from them is wonderful. So that’s that!!! If you’re shopping around for USB drives this off-season definitely check out USB Memory Direct! And this is just one part of my packaging. I plan to do another post showing my packaging as a whole to help give some ideas for those looking for some inspiration! Have a great Tuesday!
