I walked into the room where Katie and her bridesmaids were getting ready at Hillendale Country Club and the music that was playing was Justin Timberlake. I think it was “Tunnel Vision”. It was definitely a song that only a fan would know because it’s just a random song on the album…..not a released single. Then the next JT song came on. And then the next. And the next. It was true……I had a group of girls that, while they were getting all made up for the wedding by the amazing team from Silver Immersion, their music of choice for the day was Justin’s newest album The 20/20 Experience. If you really know me, you know that I’m a true teeny-bopper, crazed boy band, N’SYNC and Backstreet Boys posters covering every single inch of my bedroom walls kinda girl. I told the ladies that I had been listening to that entire album religiously for a while getting myself ready for the Legends of the Summer Tour….my upcoming Justin Timberlake and Jay Z concert (which was AMAZING, btw!!!!). Katie said that they were going, too!! And then we proceeded to talk about our love of boy bands and told of all the N’SYNC and BSB concerts we had gone to, both as teeny boppers and “adults”. Obviously I was in love. That was it for me…..I was in love with this bride and these bridesmaids and this wedding.
I got to spend the rest of the day with Katie, the sweetest boy band loving bride, and Ron, the business in the beginning but then let loose and was drinking champagne straight from the bottle groom. Can weddings get any better??!! And then not to mention that their family and friends were a blast, too. I might have laughed more than a wedding photographer is allowed to at this wedding. All the way up to when it was time for me to leave…..right after Katie was doing what is apparently her signature dance. The Shark. Don’t miss the last grouping of pictures to see what I’m talking about. 🙂
Did I mention that their first dance was a combo of a sweet love song and Apache Jump On It?? 🙂
