“Did I mention our theme is British wedding? Think hats, teapots, and bunting! Yippeeee!” Those were the exact words in Heather’s email to me when we were first chatting about me possibly being the photographer for her and Chris’s Kent Manor Inn wedding. Obviously, I was all about it because, seriously, who wouldn’t think that sounds amazing?? Except for the bunting part…..was I the only one that had no idea what bunting is?? So my exact words back to her were “That sounds amazing!! Although….secret….I had to look up bunting because I didn’t know what that was”. I was so nervous that made me sound like an idiot but, luckily, I’m apparently one of many people to not know what bunting is. It all worked out in the end because I ended up being the super lucky photog to be at Heather and Chris’s wedding! These two are serious goof balls and I had such a great time getting to know them and being a part of their big day. Heather is British (obviously, or their theme might be a tiny bit weird, right? 😉 ) so she had family come all the way from oversees to be a part of her wedding. There were even some people from Australia. Needless to say, that meant one big, fun, full of love party. And I got to listen to British accents all day. More of that please!! 🙂 Oh, and the hats. Can we talk about the hats?? I think us Americans need to get on the ball and take after our British friends and adopt this hat policy. Crazy, pretty, fun, colorful hats all over the place. And last, but not least, the bunting. There was bunting. LOTS of it and it was so pretty! All handmade by the Bride’s super sweet Mom…or is it Mum? 😉
Oh yeah, one more thing!! A little trivia fact for you all……Did you know that, in the UK, what we call tank tops they call vests? Yep, a little knowledge bomb for your Tuesday morning. You’re welcome.
Heather and Chris!!! Thank you so so so much for sharing your day with me! I had the best time and think you two are wonderful people that have a happy life full of love ahead of you. 🙂
Heather’s Brother officiated the wedding. He said he wasn’t quite sure what route to go with the ceremony or what all he should say….so he went the Braveheart route 🙂
What an awesome venue! And such a fun idea to incorporate the British them without being TOO over the top – it’s perfect!
Oh the hats!!! And the feathers!! And all the bunting (totally looked it up!) This wedding is awesome and I can just tell from their photos that these two are so so so much fun!! Beautiful as always!
Wow! So beautiful! Love all the bunting, feathers and her gorgeous dress! Great job!
Such a great idea with the british theme – I love the hats and feathers! That ring shot at the end is gorgeous too. Great job incorporating the flag!
