Hi, I'm Lauren! Welcome to my blog! I'm a Maryland wedding and portrait photographer that loves beautiful light and has an obsession with the water. This is my pretty little place to show off all of my most recent photography adventures and the stories behind them. So get comfy and have a look around!

Pam + Scott : Elkridge Furnace Inn Wedding {Maryland Wedding Photographer}

In keeping with the one month anniversaries, today I get to say Happy One Month Anniversary to Pam and Scott!!  Exactly one month ago today I was at the beautiful Elkridge Furnace Inn, with my second shooter and oh so amazing Ashley Sullivan, as the lucky photographer that got to document Pam and Scott’s wedding day.

I’ll be completely honest and admit that sometimes I feel like I’m in a rut with my photographs….that I’m just kind of going through the motions.  And I’m not saying that I don’t give 110% to every single one of my clients, because I totally do.  It’s just that sometimes I either feel rushed or pressured and I don’t get to enjoy the photo taking process as much as I would like to.  But then weddings come along where it’s so incredibly laid back and beautiful that I get some inspiration back.  That’s what Pam and Scott did for me.  The sunlight, love between a bride and groom, and a romantically rustic setting all came together to help me create some of my most favorite bride and groom portraits of this 2013 wedding season.  I was a giddy little school girl when I saw the light coming in behind the pergola at the ceremony area.  I was a happy photographer after those portraits.  But then I found the perfect sunflare coming through the trees behind one of the little “barns”.  Gorgeous.  And then, when I couldn’t have asked for more, Pam and Scott nestled into a little pathway perfectly illuminated with the setting sun.  Everywhere I turned I was inspired.  Refreshed.  Exactly what I needed.  But all the perfect light and backdrops meant nothing without the tangible love between Scott and Pam.  They snuggled, they smiled, laughed, and loved.  They brought the photos to life.  And I can tell you how incredibly, classically beautiful and photogenic Pam is, but I think you’ll be able to see that for yourself in the photos below.

Pam and Scott, thank you for sharing your day with me.  Thank you for inspiring me that day and helping me to, once again, fall in love with how lucky I am to be doing this.  Your wedding was nothing short of beautiful and I think that will be a reflection of the future you two have ahead of you.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!Elkridge Furnace Inn-1.jpg
