Hi, I'm Lauren! Welcome to my blog! I'm a Maryland wedding and portrait photographer that loves beautiful light and has an obsession with the water. This is my pretty little place to show off all of my most recent photography adventures and the stories behind them. So get comfy and have a look around!

Rachel + Ryan : Morningside Inn Wedding {Maryland Wedding Photographer}

I had a pocket FULL of strawberry Starburst wrappers by the end of the night.  Total Win!  Everyone knows that strawberry Starburst are delish, and the fact that Rachel and Ryan had a jar of nothing but those little gems on their candy bar for their Morningside Inn wedding means that they are among the coolest bride and groom pairings ever.  But seriously, while the Starburst were great, there were so many other things about their wedding that were as equally worthy of mentioning.  An absolutely gorgeous dress on a gorgeous bride, a cathedral length veil, a ton of DIY blue and pink details, a super fun bridal party, a groom that made me laugh because he was jealous of the blue vests that his groomsmen got to wear, sweet families, a bridal party dance that turned into the Harlem Shake complete with the Best Man coming out in a helmet, an amazing blue and pink Love themed candy bar that is worthy of mentioning again, an Anniversary Dance to find the longest married couple which ended up being Rachel’s grandparents who have been married for 64 years (or 63?? I have a bad memory.  Either way, so stinking cute and sweet), lots of dancing and celebrating brought by the DJ talents of Jim Stanton from Soundsations, and, to top it all off, a bubble send-off ending in Rachel and Ryan driving away in Ryan’s classic car.  If you can’t tell, I loved this wedding and Rachel and Ryan were so cute in love and made me feel like a friend.  I can’t ask for anything better.

You know it’s going to be a good day when you walk in to where the guys are getting ready and are met with this shirt worn by the Best Man.Morningside Inn-17.jpg

I’m not normally one to do jumping pictures, but when there’s a perfect spot like this, sometimes it just has to be done.  I love it  🙂Morningside Inn-43.jpg
